Back a few years ago in Driver’s Ed, regarding whether to be an organ donor or not, our teacher cynically told us to check what the medical definition of “dead” was, because they might be more lax with organ donors in order to get our organs. I guess he was worried about that slim chance he wasn’t actually dead. I guess I should be ready to die in such a case, and save a few lives (let’s count: liver, lungs x2, heart, kidney x2, hmm… so that’s what, 5 lives?). Who knows. I think he was just being a bit paranoid.
